Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time is an arcade game produced by Konami in 1991. A sequel to the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it is a scrolling fighting game, based around the characters of the same name, primarily their namesake animated series.

The player chooses from the four turtles: Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael. As the plot progresses, the Turtles' archenemies, Shredder and Krang, steal the Statue of Liberty. When they attempt to fight through their soldiers to recover the Statue, Shredder sends them through a time warp, where he has also sent his minions.

The turtles must fight through Shredder's army to return home. Different stages are represented as different years through time, including 25,000,000 BC (a prehistoric landscape), 1530 (a pirate ship), and 1885 (a train), as well as science fictional versions of 2020 and 2100. After returning to their own time, they must defeat Shredder to reclaim the Statue and save the day.

The game was popular with arcade goers and TMNT fans, and was released to several video game consoles under several different names. The game was released onto the SNES as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, as the fourth in a series of games produced originally for the NES. Several stages were added to the game for the benefit of length for home players. However, the game was also released to the Sega Genesis as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist. In this port, the "time travel" concept was removed, replaced by a plot where Shredder and Krang shrink Manhattan Island to the size of a bottle. However, several of the same stages of the original arcade game are used, with their odd, "non-modern" appearance explained away (the pirate ship from the original game becomes a "ghost ship"). This port was not popular with fans, and is largely forgotten in favor of its original title.

As with any merchandise or television series related to the Ninja Turtles, the game is known as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Turtles in Time in the UK.

The arcade game is often remembered by video game players for its colorful animation, as well as its cartoonish, humorous nature, including jokey voice clips.

The game is not to be confused with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, the third in the series of Ninja Turtles theatrical films, which uses a time travel theme and "The turtles are back... in time!" as a tagline.
