Teledyne (NYSE: TDY (http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/lcddata.html?ticker=TDY)) is an industrial conglomerate primarily based in the United States but with global operations.
Teledyne at one time consisted of interests as varied as insurance and dental appliances (Teledyne WaterPik); both of these enterprises have subsequently been spun off, the former as Unitrin Corporation, the later as WaterPik Corporation. At the same time as the Unitirn spinoff, the stock. publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, was split five for one, resulting in a lower per-share price and far more shares in circulation.
