Telework (known in the USA as Telecommuting) (also e-work) is work performed from a distance, typically over a network such as the Internet, as opposed to work performed directly on site. At the beginning of the 21st century, it is an area of work rapidly increasing in size and importance. The European Telework Online site has extensive further information.
