The Tennessee Two, guitarist Luther Perkins and bassist Marshall Grant, was the backing band for legendary country music singer Johnny Cash during his early years at Sun Records. In 1960, drummer W.S. Holland joined the group, which was renamed The Tennessee Three. After Luther Perkins' death due to cancer in 1968, Bob Wootton joined as the group's guitarist. See also |
