Tenri (天理市; -shi) is a city located in Nara, Japan.

The Isonokami Jingu, a Shinto shrine of religious, historical and artistic significance, stands in Tenri.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 72,161 and the density of 835.49 persons per km². The total area is 86.37 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1954.
