'Terrorist (less commonly ') is a neologism referring to environmentalists who engage in actions considered by some to be terrorism, including violent destruction of property as well as various types of nonviolent direct action.

The word is a portmanteau of Terra, a name for Earth, with the word terrorism.

Some radical environmentalists may feel that there crimes that resist certain activity are moraly justified in that they prevent a greater crime of the destruction of the planet.
