The Texas League is a minor league baseball league which operates in the South Central United States. It is classified a AA (double-A) league. The league was first formed in 1888, and has had member teams located in several of the surrounding states, including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, New Mexico, and most recently Missouri. Through 2004, the league was divided into an East Division and a West Division, but the move of two teams after that season led to a change in divisional alignments. The division names given below are based only on geography, and are not the league's official designation; the league has yet to announce new division names. However, the league's 2005 schedule has been released; the new alignments given here are based on that schedule.
