The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, one of the 56 short Sherlock Holmes stories written by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is the seventh of the twelve Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. The story was first published in the Strand Magazine in January 1892.
Synopsis
The plot revovles around a precious blue carbuncle (a carbuncle is a garnet which can come in a variety of colours but never blue) going missing. It turns out that the stone was fed to a Christmas goose to avoid being found. The stone is eventually discovered by Holmes.
