The Alamo: Thirteen Days Till Glory was not a large budget Hollywood epic, but a made-for-TV 1987 film starring Brian Keith as Crockett, James Arness as Bowie, a very young Alec Baldwin as Travis, Raoul Julia as Santa Ana, and a single scene cameo by Lorne Greene as Sam Houston.
It was filmed in the same Alamo replica built by John Wayne for the 1960 film.
Much of the footage of the final battle scene was actually from older movies.
This film is based on the book Thirteen Days to Glory by Lon Tinkle.
