The Apprentice 3 is the third season of The Apprentice. It premiered January 20 2005 on NBC. In this season, the initial two teams of nine were divided by "book smarts" and "street smarts," referring to those with and without a college education.

Week 1: Whopper 101

- Who gets fired: Todd, for not managing his team well enough.
Week 2: Motel 666
- Airdate: January 27 2005
- Who gets fired: Brian, He replaced 14 toilets when they were not needed. He also asked to be fired to which Mr. Trump responded "Wow! I've never been in this position before," while also taking full responsibilty.
Week 3:
- Airdate: February 3 2005
- Verna quits in the first few minutes.
- Danny, the project manager brings Stephanie and Michael, who is exempt (having been the winning team leader in the last task) into the boardroom. Although Michael performed poorly throughout the task, Trump would not waive the exemption, despite more freedom for firing candidates in the past 2 seasons. For example, Trump fired Bradford despite his exemption in Season 2 and fired two project managers in front of the entire team. Danny was subsequently fired for lack of decision making as the project manager.
