The Awful Truth was the name of a satirical American television show which was directed, written, and hosted by Michael Moore. The show emulated newsmagazine shows by producing documentaries, but the format of the program diverged by presenting each documentary in front of a "live" audience. The Awful Truth focused on exposing supposed problems in American government, business, and society, while proposing often outlandish solutions to those problems.
