The Azoic - Definition and Overview

The Azoic is an American Industrial and EBM band that was formed by Steve Laskarides, Shawn Lower, and Kristy Venrick in February of 1996. In October of 1996, they received a record contract from Worm Records and released their first CD in April of 1997. Shawn left the band in early 1998 to pursue an alternate musical direction. Their second CD was released in May of 1998 with Nilaihah records, which was started by Kristy to promote talented, original electronic bands. In 2003, The Azoic signed a record deal throughout Europe with Infacted Recordings of Germany.

• Steve Laskarides - Based in Phoenix, Arizona, his contributions are keyboard, programming, effects, vocals, and lyrics.
• Shawn Lower - Band member from 1996-1998.
• Kristy Venrick - Based in Columbus, Ohio, she is responsible for vocals, lyrics, and keyboards.
