The Dead Pool was released in 1988 and is the last of the Dirty Harry franchise. Harry Callahan is assigned to investigate the death of rock singer Johnny Squares. He discovers that film director Peter Swan played by Liam Neeson is part of a game in which he has to guess which celebrity will die next. He discovers that he too is on the list.
It also noteworthy as being one of Jim Carrey's first film roles. Carrey plays Johnny Squares.
