Idiot Box is an episode of the runaway hit TV series SpongeBob SquarePants. It aired in 2002 and is arguably the show's most popular episode. The episode featured SpongeBob and Patrick playing in a giant TV box, in which they used their imagination out loud. Squidward tried to find out what made the box work, and ended up using it himself, only that the box - with Squidward inside - gets taken to the dump.
