The Joshua Tree is an album by U2, released on March 9 1987 on Island Records (see 1987 in music).

This album won Album of the Year award from the Grammy Awards of 1987.

In 1998 Q magazine readers voted The Joshua Tree the 23rd greatest album of all time; in 2003 the TV network VH1 placed it at number 15.
