 The Laramie Project - Definition 

The Laramie Project is a play by Moisés Kaufman, collected from Wyoming interviews, about the reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, who was beaten and left to die in Laramie, Wyoming because he was gay. It was made into a 2002 film of the same name, which starred Christina Ricci, Steve Buscemi, Kathy Bates, Laura Linney, Summer Phoenix, Joshua Jackson, Clea Duvall and Janeane Garofalo.
