The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking is an album by British musician Roger Waters. It is a concept album about a man's midlife crisis and how he dreams of adultery against his wife, amongst other things. The album takes place in real time from 4.30 to 5.11 in the morning. It received controversy for featuring the nude buttocks af a woman on its cover, and has been released with both uncensored and censored covers.

The album has been seen by some as a followup to Waters' earlier Pink Floyd album The Wall, and several of that album's musical phrases reappear here. Waters has indicated that he first developed the idea for the album at around the same time as The Wall. Apparently, he played demos of this album and The Wall to Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, who decided that he liked The Wall better.
