The Redemption of Althalus is a story about Althalus, a liar, thief and murderer. Hired to steal the Book of Deiwos from the House at the End of the World, Althalus finds himself locked in the house with a talking cat he names Emmy. He learns to use the Book, and slowly grows fond of the cat later revealed to be the Goddess Dweia. Together, along with the Knife and a group of companions they conquer evil and destroy the evil book of Daeva.
