The Ring Two (2005) is the sequel to the horror movie, The Ring, which is an American remake of the original Japanese movie, Ringu. Ringu is based on a book of the same name by Koji Suzuki, and is directed by Hideo Nakata. The director of The Ring Two, incidentally, is also Hideo Nakata.

This sequel will not be based on any of the previous Japanese sequels of Ringu, but will be an original storyline, continuing from The Ring.

The movie was filmed in Astoria, Oregon and Los Angeles, California. It is currently in post-production, and will be released in late March 2005.
