The Ruts were a reggae-influenced British punk band notable for the 1979 top 10 hit "Babylon's Burning". Malcolm Owen sang, Paul Fox played guitar, "Segs" (John Jennings) played bass and Dave Ruffy played drums.
After Malcolm Owen's death from a heroin overdose in 1980, the band continued as "Ruts DC" but never repeated their earlier success.
