A landmark television program that was part of CBSs Seven Lively Arts series. Aired December 81957 live fron CBS Studio 58. Hosted by John Crosby and produced by Irving Townsend, George Avakian and Michael Brooks. John Houseman was the Executive Producer
It featured most of the top East Coast Jazz musicians of the day, playing styles from dixieland to bebop and twelve-tone.
It was also released as a recording by Columbia Records
