It is also the name of a number of movies, including:

• the 1967 movie based on Camus's novel and directed by Luchino Visconti (see The Stranger (1967 movie))
• the 1995 movie directed by Fritz Kiersch (see The Stranger (1995 movie))

It is also the name of the rôle the player takes in the fictionalization of the Myst games (see Stranger (Myst)) There is a white-haired humanoid alien who insists on calling himself "a Stranger" in the X-Men comics. He kidnapped Magneto and Toad in an issue.
