The Tears - Definition and Overview

A band formed in 2004 by ex-Suede bandmates Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler.

Brett Anderson - Vocals
Bernard Butler - Guitar/Piano
Nathan Fisher - Bass
Mako Sakamoto - Drums

The band are named after a line from a Philip Larkin poem, Femmes Damnées, which ends with the line: "The only sound heard is the sound of tears".

The band played their first ever live show on December 14th at the Oxford Zodiac.
