The Circle-Vision 360 show Timekeeper was first unveiled at the new Disneyland Paris park in 1992 as Le Visionarium, but then made its way over to the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom in 1994 to their New Tomorrowland expansion. The show takes place inside Walt Disney invented 360 movie theater. Unlike previous 360 shows, Timekeeper uses audio-animatronics, special effects, and a storyline to liven up the experience.
The show is based on a levitating android called Nine-Eye (the 9 eyes she has represents the 9 cameras used in filming the show in the round, thus showing each of her 9 eyes on each one of the 9 movie screens) who will travel back in time, quite humorously, while under the complete control of the zany Timekeeper (voiced by Robin Williams). After much insanity in the Triassic age, the renaissance, and other periods, they finally arrive at the 1917 Paris Expo to meet Timekeeper's role models, Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. Jules Verne doesnt believe that time travel is possible, which H.G. Wells says, "Impossible, well, no sir, improbable, yes, impossible no." 9 Eye then catches the attention of Jules and is transported into the future, or our present. Timekeeper then sends him on a fast paced tour of the modern world and then the future, in 10 minutes or less.
