The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino is a Venice-themed casino and hotel located in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. At a cost of 1.5 billion dollars, it is one of the most expensive resorts of its kind ever built.

Owned by self-made billionaire Sheldon Adelson, the Venetian boasts 4,049 rooms and a 120, 000 ft casino.

It is built on the site of the Sands Hotel; ground was broken April 14 1997 and the resort officially opened May 3 1999.

In October 2001, the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum opened within the resort.
