The Themidaceae are a family of flowering plants. The Themidaceae are monocots, part of order Asparagales. Historically most of the genera in family Themidaceae were classified in family Alliaceae, but recent studies have established the Themidaceae as distinct from the allium family. The Themidaceae are closely related to family Hyacinthaceae and, along with several other closely related families (Aphyllanthaceae, Agavaceae, Laxmanniaceae, Asparagaceae, Ruscaceae), are alternatively classified as part of family Asparagaceae.
