Thornaby-on-Tees is a town in the northernmost part of the historic county of North Riding of Yorkshire, located on the south bank of the River Tees. Administratively it is part of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, being south of the town of Stockton.
Thornaby contains Ingleby Barwick which is the largest private housing estate in Europe.
