Tian Han (田汉; pinyin: tián hàn) (March 12, 1898 - December 10, 1968) was a Chinese playwright.
Amongst his aliases, he called himself Shòuchāng (寿昌), and had various other pen names, including Uncle Great Wild Goose (伯鸿 pinyin bó hóng ), Chen Yu, Shùrén (漱人), and the Chinese Immortal (汉仙, pinyin Hànxiān ).
Tian Han was born in the city of Changsha in Hunan province. He is best known for writing the lyrics of The March of the Volunteers, which is the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.
He died in prison during the Cultural Revolution.
