Tim Armstrong (born 25 November 1966) is a musician. He was in the punk/ska band Operation Ivy until its demise, He then founded two relatively unsuccessful bands called the Dance Hall Crashers and The Downfall but later founded the very successful band Rancid. Also started Rancid Records and is in a band called The Transplants with Rob Aston and Travis Barker. Writes for other artists such as Pink and Gwen Stefani. Tim has also never had a drivers licence nor a bank account. He has also Od'd twice and recovered fully both times.
He is the owner of Hellcat Records.
He is divorced from Brody Dalle of the Distillers.
