Timothy William George Collins (born May 7, 1964) has been Conservative Party member of Parliament for Westmorland and Lonsdale in north-west England since the 1997 election. He was educated at Chigwell School, and then the London School of Economics and King's College London. He was appointed shadow Secretary of State for Education in 2004 under Michael Howard, having previously held the post of Shadow Transport Secretary under Iain Duncan Smith
