Reginald Erskine (Tip) Foster (16 April 1878-13 May 1914) was an English cricketer who played for Oxford University, Worcestershire and England. He was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1901.

He captained England in 3 of the 8 test matches he played in, winning one, drawing two. He also won 6 caps for England at football. He was also captained the football team, making him the only man to captain England at both football and cricket.

In cricket, he made what is comfortably the highest score by a test debutant, scoring 287 at Sydney in 1903/4. A score which remains the highest score by an Englishman in Australia.

He suffered from diabetes, which led to his young death at the age of only 36 in 1914.
