Tobu Railway (東武鉄道) is a major commuter railway company in the greater Tokyo area of Japan. It operates in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Tochigi, and Gunma Prefectures. By length, its rail system is third in Japan, behind Kinki Nippon Railway (Kintetsu) and Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu); in 2005, when Meitetsu stops operations on some lines, Tobu will become second.
