Todd Dunivant (born December 26, 1980 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado) is an American soccer defender, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
Dunivant played college soccer at Stanford University from 1999 to 2002. As a sophomore, he set a school record for assists by a defender with nine, and was named first-team All Pac-10. Dunivant would go on to register six goals and seven assists as a junior, and two goals and eleven assists as a senior, being named first-team All Pac-10 both years, as well as a first-team All-American as a senior. Dunivant also played several years for the Boulder Rapids Reserve team in the Premier Development League.
Upon graduating, Dunivant was selected sixth overall in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft by his local team, the San Jose Earthquakes. The Earthquakes had an opening at Dunivant's left back position due to Wade Barrett's departure to Denmark, but Dunivant ably took his place, starting all 30 of the team's games that year, while scoring one goal and six assists, as the Quakes won the MLS Cup. Unfortunately, Dunivant suffered a quadriceps injury in the preseason of 2004, which would cause him trouble throughout the year. He was only able to play in 16 games on the year, registering no points for the team. He was traded to Los Angeles in the off-season in a four-player deal.
