Tom Tom Club was a new wave band, a side project of two members of the Talking Heads: Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz. They began recording albums in 1981 and have enjoyed some success with hits such as Genius of Love. That song has been used as bumper music by the radio talk show host Jim Bohannon, due to the explicit chanting of Bohannon, Bohannon, Bohannon, Bohannon.
At the height of their success, Tom Tom Club made an appearance in the Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense.
Frantz and Weymouth also worked with the Gorillaz in 2001 and 2002.
