The Torque Game Engine is a video game engine originally developed by Dynamix as the base for the Tribes series of games. The Torque engine is currently available for license from Garage Games to independent and professional game developers.
As well as being a 3D graphics engine, Torque provides networking code, in-engine world editing and GUI creation, and scripting. The source code can be compiled on Windows, Macintosh and Linux platforms.
The Torque Indie License (http://www.garagegames.com/pg/product/eula.php?id=1) allows the engine to be used by independent game developers for 100USD per programmer, provided the programmer is not employed by a company with an annual revenue of greater than 250 000USD. The alternate commercial license (http://www.garagegames.com/pg/product/eula.php?id=31) is available for 495USD per seat.
