Torrie Wilson (born July 24, 1975 in Boise, Idaho) is a performer for World Wrestling Entertainment on the Smackdown! brand.
She began her life in Boise with three brothers. At the age of seven, her parents divorced and at 10, her mother remarried, moving the family to the small town of McCall, Idaho. She was painfully shy but she quickly found friends in her school. She quickly found her niche in many school activities including cheerleading, dance and was very competitive in track and field.
During high school, after seeing her daughter's interest in modeling grow more serious, she urged her daughter to pursue it, they visited an agency and was informed that Torrie would have to lose weight to actually be considered for jobs, she lost the eight pounds but began a four year long bout with bulimia. Torrie was finally able to recover her eating disorder and even though she still received job offers, Torrie decided to not pursue them, thinking it would be best to stay at home.
A few years after her battle with bulimia, she began to develop an interest in fitness modeling, she admired the women in the magazines who were healthy and not stick thin. Torrie thought that maybe this was the right path for her, she began working out and building muscles. She decided to enter herself in the 1997 Ms. Galaxy fitness competion and within 9 months, after no experience in the field, she placed 13th.
A year later at the same competion she placed 1st, happy with her acomplishments, she moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue acting, during her time in the fitness game, she grew a fondness for the cameras and the attention.
She began acting classes and was introduced to an agent, who helped her gain a few jobs but it was meeting with Kevin Nash backstage at her first WCW event that landed her a full time job. She worked with WCW as a valet for Billy Kidman, Shane Douglas and Kevin Nash until the company was purchased by its rival, WWE, where she continues to work in to this day.
She resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband, fellow wrestler, Billy Kidman and two cats.
