A city gate is a gate set within a city wall.
Examples of city gates include:
- Gates of Cairo
- Gates in Jerusalem's Old City Walls
- City Gate (building in Israel)
- Holstentor, in Lübeck, Germany
- Porta Nigra, in Trier, Germany
- Amsterdamse Poort, a city gate of Haarlem, the Netherlands
- London's Roman and Medieval gates of the London Wall: Ludgate, Newgate, Aldersgate, Bishopsgate, Cripplegate, Moorgate, Aldgate
- Rashomon Gate, Kyoto, Japan
