Transcaucasus - Definition

The Transcaucasus is a region covering the majority of Caucasus mountain range. Traditionally it includes the Southern slope of Caucasus, the Colchis Lowland, Kura Lowland, Talysh Mountains, Lenkoran Lowland, Caucasus Minor, Javakheti-Armenian Uplands. The majority of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan falls within this area.
