Translation is a rhetoric device used often in satire. Typically, a
quotation from some source (often the one that is mocked) is given, followed
by "Translation:", "Translated into English:", "In other words:" etc., then
giving a shorter and clearer version of the above. This rhetoric device
was used by Karl Kraus (who translated from Harden), Karl Popper
(who translated from several gibberish-emitting philosophers) and can
be often seen on Usenet. "Translation: 'I do not have a clue and
am throwing mud'" can be written under any quote, so this use is
inherently unfair, but may be justified by the quote.
