The Transmitter Thurnau is a medium wave transmission facility for transmitting the mediumwave programme of Deutschlandfunk on 549 kHz near Thurnau in Northern Bavaria, Germany. The transmitter Thurnau was established in 1980. Until 1996 it was run with 200 kilowatts, now it uses 100 kilowatts. The transmitter Thurnau uses as aerial a guyed steelframework radiomast with a height of 240 metres, which is insulated against ground. |
