Les Trasmusicales is a 3-day music festival held annually in Rennes, Brittany. Started in 1978, the main parts of the festival are held in an aircraft hangar by Rennes airport, with various live musicians and artists playing in the town centre. It offers an eclectic range of musical styles, but is unlike many festivals in that it doesn't have any official headliners, although without doubt the biggest band to play in 2004 was the Beastie Boys. 2004's festival (the 26th since its inaugauration) offered a chance to also see Kraftwerk, Dizzee Rascal and Goldie Lookin' Chain
