Tredegar is a town in the county borough of Blaenau Gwent, traditional county of Monmouthshire, south Wales, lying on the Sirhowy River. It is home Bryn Bach Pond a country park, while in Butetown, Rhymney. a model housing estate built in the early nineteenth century by the Marquess of Bute, and a colliery winding house in New Tredegar lie nearby.
Tredegar was also the birthplace of Aneurin Bevan, famed for introduction of the British National Health Service (NHS. Michael Foot and Neil Kinnock also hailed from this wonderful town.
