Trey Gunn was a member of the band King Crimson from 1994 to 2003. He initially played Chapman stick and subsequently diverse types of Warr guitar. He has also performed and recorded with a number of other bands and musicians, not least of which is his own Trey Gunn Band. He has released a number of solo albums, as Trey Gunn and as the leader of Trey Gunn Band.
