Tricia Marwick - Definition and Overview

Tricia Marwick is the Scottish National Party MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife. She was born on November 5, 1953 and brought up in Fife. She has been MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife since 1999 and contested Central Fife in the 2003, although she narrowly failed to win that particualar seat and was re-elected to serve Mid Scotland and Fife through the Additional Members System.

She is the vice convener of the SNP Parliamentary Group and as such is a member of the Party's National Executive Committee, and is the chief whip. She was previously the convener of the Scottish Parliament’s Standards Committee.

She previously worked as Public Affairs Officer for Shelter Scotland, a charity for homeless people.
