Dating from the 1950s, the Tropicana Resort & Casino is among the oldest hotel/casinos on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the 1970s it was controlled by the Kansas City mafia.
As of 2004, it was owned by Aztar Corporation, which also operates
the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
