True Love Waits (TLW) is an international Christian group that promotes sexual abstinence for teenagers. TLW was created in April, 1993, and is sponsored by LifeWay Christian Resources. It is based on the concept that if someone is really in love with someone, they will wait until marriage to have sexual intercourse.
The program has been criticised for having an anti-male bias; portraying men as sexually aggressive while expecting females to have no sexual desires of their own.
