Truvor and Sineus - Definition

Truvor and Sineus were according to the Primary Chronicle, the brothers of Rurik. The three brothers were asked by the Fennic and Slavic tribes in northern Russia to settle among them and to rule them. The two names are believed to be a Slavic misunderstanding based on the Scandinavian expressions TrĂș vor ("our faithful") and Sine hus ("his households" or "his clan").
