Tungsten T - Definition

The Tungsten T (also known as M550) is a PalmOS-based PDA by palmOne in the Tungsten family. Other members are the Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3, and the Tungsten T5

Due to popular demand, and to meet the competition of Sony's Clie series, it was palmOne's first handheld to feature a 320x320 pixel LCD (also known as high-resolution or high-density). It was also their first to have built-in Bluetooth, a 144mhz ARM processor, MP3 playing capability, a built-in microphone, and to have a "slider" design that opens up to reveal PalmOne's "Graffiti" area, and closes to make the unit pocket-sized. Its initial price in 2002 was $499, but due to technological advancements, it can now be purchased for around $120.

It was later replaced by the Tungsten T2, which later was replaced by the Tungsten T3. The Tungsten T5 does not follow T-series standards, as it has no slider design and has no built-in microphone.
