Turn on the Bright Lights was the New York rock band Interpol's first full-length. It was released in 2002 on Matador Records to a great deal of critical acclaim and sold exceptionally strongly for an indie release. It also ranked highly in many rock critics' yearly lists.

Musically, many people have pointed out the similarities between Turn on the Bright Lights and the 1970s group Joy Division. Both groups make heavy use of drums, often as the lead instrument in a song, and the lead singer of Interpol, Paul Banks, has a very similar voice to that of Joy Division's Ian Curtis.
