USS Lexington - Definition and Overview

Five ships of the United States Navy have borne the name Lexington, after Lexington, Massachusetts, where the colonial militia first fought back against the British in "the shot heard 'round the world".


In the Star Trek fictional universe, the USS Lexington (NCC-61832) was a Nebula class starship in Starfleet. The Lexington delivered medical supplies to the Taranko colony circa stardate 47611.2 in 2370. In 2371, the Lexington docked at Deep Space Nine for resupply and later fought against the Borg at the Battle of Sector 001 in 2373.
